Making Him Feel Special on Valentine's Day

Guy Valentine If you want to do something special for your man on Valentine's Day, don't rule out the soft stuff. Over 50% of men polled in a recent study said that they'd never received flowers, but would probably have enjoyed doing so.

Make Him Something Special for Valentine's Day

You may not feel comfortable sending him a sweetheart bouquet, but you can make him something lavish that will relax and pamper him. For fewer than ten dollars and a half hour of your time, you can make him lavender bath salts, a sure fire winner in the pampering department.

Made from Epsom salt, sea salt, and essential oil, lavender bath salts will relax his muscles, lower his blood pressure, and improve his outlook.

Men are as drawn to the scent if lavender as women, and the effects of a nice long soak in therapeutic salts will have him grateful and anxious to reward you for your thoughtfulness.

Lavender Bath Salts for HimLavender Bath Salt Recipe

Epsom salt and sea salt are available from your local variety or grocery store, and essential oil of lavender is easy to find at any craft store. The recipe can be found at my herb blog: The Herb Gardener: Make Lavender Bath Salts

You can forego the coloring in favor of a more masculine gift. Just place the mixture in a glass or plastic jar. (He probably wouldn't mind if you tied it with a ribbon.)

He can use these great salts whenever he needs to relax and unwind, and this will be one gift that doesn't end up unused at the bottom of his closet.

Special Note:

I make lavender bath salts for my husband. He says that they relax him and don't smell the least bit feminine (his major concern before originally trying them).

Nice guide and thanks for the recipe. Im planning giving bath salts and I've seen some recipes that adds lavender buds to their bath salts, not really sure though.
